The Runesmith

A fallen god in a mortal world. Forge the runes that carry you home.

The Runesmith is an open-world fantasy adventure about mastering the lost art of runecraft. Explore ancient lands, gather rare materials by mining, hunting and farming, and forge powerful runes blessed by the gods — each one reshaping what you are capable of.

Overview

About the Game

You begin as a fallen deity, cast down among mortals. The only road back to divinity runs through runecraft — and every rune starts as raw material pulled from the world by your own hands.

Travel between distinct biomes — glaciers, meadows and deserts — and work them for what they hold: ore from the rock, game from the wild, crops from the soil. What you bring home decides what you can forge.

At the forge, materials become runes blessed by gods such as Ares, Hades, Hermes, Hephaestus, Demeter and Artemis. There are hundreds to discover, each granting a specialised power. Lean into mining, hunting or exploration, and your set of runes quietly becomes a build.
